The Homegrown Coffeehouse -16th Season with The Blue Rhythm BoysOne of our favorites, the Blue Rhythm Boys, will be returning to the Homegrown Stage, Saturday, January 10th, 8pm. Tom Mitchell and Jim Stephason, blend the blues of Mississippi John Hurt with the ‘hot club’ swing of Django Reinhart and delight audiences with their tight vocals and guitar playing. Together they bring authenticity and originality to their own smoky mix of hot jazz, blues and hokum. www.BlueRhythmBoys.com“Swingin Acoustic Guitars, southern-tinged vocals, and the best repertoire East of Bucks County all combine to float your boat up the mighty Miss-i-sip! – Folk/Swingster Dan Hicks
Bill Baker is a familiar name in the Washington D.C. music scene. Performing both solo and with his band, Bill blends influences from American blues, country folk, R&B, and contemporary acoustic music to create his own personal style. Bill’s original songs have won him multiple awards, including being a finalist in the 1993 Kerville Folk Festival’s “new folk” competition. http://webliminal.com/songwrite/baker.ht…
